2015-09-01 09.50.50Let’s enjoy the last warm days of the summer to the fullest. It is Friday, before long weekend and the weather is ridiculously gorgeous here.

Dinner and/or lunch picnic in the park is the most summery thing ever to me (and so romantic 🙂 ). I plan to make butternut squash soup and this much loved in our house spicy parmesan cheese puffs. Coffee crepes with creme fraiche and peaches

Juicy golden peaches and crème fraiche conjure up the sweet taste of summer. They are delicious and sweet as the filling for these light coffee-flavored buckwheat crepes. This recipe is lighter than the one I used to make Russian blini. I serve these crepes for breakfast, lunch or sometimes as a dessert after dinner. Enjoy 🙂

German chocolate coffee cake

This past weekend I had my mother-in-law birthday so i baked delicious bday cake with her and our favourite things: chocolate, cocoa, coffee, nuts, milk and coconut. Russian Blini (Crepes)

Today, we are cooking crepes. They are absolutely fantastic and very easy to make. Crepes are the perfect blank canvas for all sorts of fillings: creamy Mascarpone with coffee syrup, fresh ricotta cheese with berries, jam and fruits, ham and mushroom filling, spinach-artichoke-brie with little bit of honey, butter and drizzle of lemon juice, apple cinnamon filling, spinach- bacon-hollandaise sauce, and more.  Continue reading “Russian Blini (Crepes)”

Summer Cake ( three milks cake)

Milk lovers unite!Tres Leches 1

This is absolutely undeniably delicious cake, soaked with a milky mixture. I have tried to make it with butter before, but I find that butter makes it soggy and heavy. When butter is not used, the cake is super light and fluffy, with many air bubbles. My friends and family loved this cake 🙂  Continue reading “Summer Cake ( three milks cake)”
